My career has evolved over the years, from book-keeping (boring), to English/ESL teacher and consultant (this was fun), to magazine editor and designer (now starting to hear my calling), to web and graphic designer (what I do now).
Outside of work and family, I dig martial arts and fitness stuff. I’ve been doing martial arts since I was 8 years old… some might say I’ve even been obsessed with it. Some might say I know some shit regarding the arts, and to that, Guro Dan Inosanto’ s quote comes to mind:
I’m not as good as I want to be, but I’m twice as good as you think I am.
Fitness wise, I LOVE bodyweight training and Kettlebells. Between a busy work and family life, and the gym is almost always closed by the time I get the free time to go. So by necessity I have to get my workouts done at home or a park near home. And since Hong Kong apartments tend to be on the small side (compared to Australia), I also don’t have the space for much equipment. Bodyweight and Kettlebells are ideal.
So,what’s the deal with this blog? Well, essentially it’s my personal digital log and note book. Primarily, it’s for my own personal records and tracking, but I’m making it public because maybe it can help others as well. It’s no definitive resource, you should do your own research to see what specifically works for you and your particular goals. But perhaps this resource can do a little bit to help with your research.

Combat Athletics (the term I use to refer to functional martial arts and fitness training). I will post my martial musings, tips, tutorials, and personal workout logs, and any other stuff that relates.
Web Design. I love making WordPress do backflips. This category will likely contain code snippets that I have found useful and want to be able to re-use in future projects.
